โ The Workday Kickoff
Your goal is to move from “Scattered” to “Strategic” in under five minutes.
The Busy Human Rule: Email pulls you into other peopleโs priorities. This routine anchors you in your own.
Before you open your inbox, you need to clear your cognitive load. If your “Mental RAM” is full of open loops and half-remembered tasks, you cannot perform at your best. Use this page to dump the noise and find your signal.
๐ฅ Step 1: The Raw Dump
Open your AI of choice and perform a “Raw Dump.” Don’t edit, don’t format, and don’t worry about logic. Just get the “mental RAM” onto the screen.
Type out everything currently in your head:
- The 3 emails you’re dreading.
- The project you’re stuck on.
- The fact that you need to buy a birthday card.
- That vague feeling that you’re forgetting something.
๐ ๏ธ Step 2: The “Chief of Staff” Sort
Once you’ve pasted your messy list, use this prompt to turn the noise into a plan.
Copy and Paste this:
“I am doing a morning cognitive load dump. Iโve just given you a messy list of everything on my mind. Act as my Chief of Staff.
- Sort this into: Immediate Actions (Today), Future Projects (Next Week+), and ‘Noise’ (Ignore or Delegate).
- Identify the ‘Frog’: Which one task, if finished, makes everything else easier?
- Clarify: If any item is too vague, ask me one follow-up question to define the next physical step.
- Encourage: Give me a 1-sentence ‘Busy Human’ perspective on today’s workload.”
๐ฏ Step 3: The Pivot
Don’t guess what to do next โ follow the signal from your sorted list. Once your head is clear, use these “Exit Ramps” to start your actual work.
A quick visual to help you interpret your sorted list:

Optional: If youโre a visual thinker, map your โImmediate Actionsโ into an Eisenhower Matrix to separate the truly important from the merely urgent.
The Exit Ramps
- ๐๏ธ Got a complex list of tasks? Move to Project Management to build your roadmap.
- ๐ง Stuck on a creative block? Start a Brainstorming Session to turn your priority projects into a creative session.
- ๐ฅ Drowning in your inbox? Tame Your Inbox โ Systems to filter the noise and find the signal.
- ๐ง Need to communicate a plan? Head to Write Better Emails.
๐งญ Why This Works
The “Busy Human” methodology relies on Offloading. By moving information from your biological brain to a digital partner, you lower your cortisol and free up your prefrontal cortex for the actual work.
Start your day with intention, not inbox panic. Five minutes of clarity beats an hour of reactive work.
